Interview With: Late Night Pharmacy

After the release of single ‘Can’t Sleep Without Paracetamol’ and now the new ‘Practice Wife’ (inspired by an Elon Musk quote), we sat down with Late Night Pharmacy to discover more about their sound. Safe to say we like their answers! Be sure to check out the new single at the bottom.

If you were to describe your music to a stranger, what would you say?
A soft indie boy surrounded by angry metalheads, or the bastard child of Refused and Death Cab
for Cutie.

What is the message, if any, that you would like to get across with your sound?
You can still dance very well even when you’re angry and sexually frustrated.

If your music was a colour, what would it be and why?
Green because we’re a pharmacy.

What artist has influenced your songwriting the most?
Oisín: Queens of the Stone Age
Fionn: Weezer
Bastiaan: Bob Dylan
Rob: Damien Rice

Where would be your dream place to play a gig?
Atop Stephen’s Green shopping centre, 10 Things I Hate About You vibes. If that isn’t practicable,
we’ll settle for anywhere in Tokyo.

If you could write a song with anyone, alive or not, who would it be?
Rob: Alive!
Oisín: Josh Homme
Fionn: Debussy, for the meme.
Bastiaan: Leonard Cohen.

What can we expect from you creatively in the next year?
The music video for our latest single “Practice Wife” will be coming out shortly. We’ll also be
heading into the studio soon to record a pop punk song and two math-y songs.
