Morrissey shares new single ‘Spent The Day In Bed’

Morrissey has unveiled the first single, ‘Spent The Day In Bed‘, from his new album, Low In High School.

The singer teased new music just last night when he tweeted (for the first time ever), “Spent the day in bed…” It was then announced that Shaun Keaveny would be premiering the new track on BBC Radio 6 Music.

The song’s chorus sees the Smiths co-founder chanting: “Stop watching the news/Because the news contrives to frighten you/To make you feel small and alone.” Listen to the new track below.

Morrissey’s new album, Low In High School, is due to be released on 17th November with a U.S. tour set to kickstart behind the record. The tour will include dates in New York, Washington, DC, Philadelphia, Chicago, Denver, Salt Lake City, Phoenix, Detroit, San Francisco, Seattle, Boston, St. Louis, Paso Robles, CA, and Portland, OR.
