Na8 shows us his Past Present Future in his stormer of a debut hip hop album.

The Nigeria-born, Nashville-based up and coming hip hop artist, Na8, is fresh from releasing his visceral stormer of a debut album, Past Present Future.

Fans of Jay-Z, Lil Wayne and Nas will instantly come to appreciate his massive production style and equally as gigantic charisma that doesn’t fail to hook you in from the first single, Pisces, featuring DBoy.

The dark yet electrically high energy old to East Coast old school is rampant with distinction. In the second single, sensuality and romanticism seep into the jazzy hip hop mix, which carries through with track three, Exotic Love.

The album reaches peak momentum in track 5, Cash, before Na8 plays with 80s electro textures and electric guitar licks in track 7, Ride Wit Me and proves he can more than hold his own against hustler hip hop icons in Big B’ness. Track 11 is a theatrical feat of ingenuity as Na8 samples from the Bond film franchise in Bond City, and the album closes on the shimmeringly soulful hit, Graduation, which will throw you right back to the golden era of East Coast hip hop.

Na8 said:

“My debut looks back on my life in Africa and Europe before I arrived in the USA. I wanted to express my past, present, and what my future could be in music.

The main message is that your past or present doesn’t define you. If you know what you want in life, you can focus and achieve those goals. Stay true to yourself.”

Amelia Vandergast, Executive Editor at A&R Factory said:

“Past Present Future is a dynamic triumph of a debut from Na8. Rather than delivering just one sonic signature, he energetically explored a significant proportion of the urban spectrum. From R&B hip hop to luxe East Coast vibes to visceral experimentalism in the opening track, Past Present Future ardently delivers everything you could ask for from a 2022 hip hop debut LP.”
