New Album from London’s Cross Channel Music: ‘Man In A Dream’

Released 1st October, Cross Channel Music is the project of London-based, French-born Pierre Lassegues. Full of musical and thematic kooks, this album is a beautiful shade of indie. ‘Man In A Dream’ is truly a collection of songs to be savoured…

This music isn’t easily categorised. It’s safe to say it covers a wide range of mood and genres. Some songs are orchestral, warm and elegant (think Father John Misty or The National) while others are more upbeat and playful, be it in a raw garage rock or catchy electro-pop style. Lyric-wise, expect a combination of poetry and wry humour.

The 9 tracks on the album were written in Paris between 2000 and 2012 and were mixed and mastered by Robin Downe and Loys Couet in February and March 2021.

Pierre explains:

“These songs are a reflection of my Parisian years: work in the suburbs, parties, dreams … life in short!”
