Yesterday morning it was revealed that London is set to gain another music venue, The Music Box, on the Southbank.
Announced by the London College of Creative Media the new venue will have a capacity of 200 and will be provided as a creative space for the LCCM students to practice and perform. The Music Box will host two to three gigs a week and also club nights.
Stated on the LCCM website “The Music Box will offer students a truly impressive and inspiring new study, practice and performance space kitted out with the latest technology across six spacious floors.”
“In a troubling time for live music fans across the capital – which continues to see more closures of legendary grassroots music venues – LCCM’s new building will also be the home to a brand new performance venue dedicated to hosting exclusive masterclass sessions from passing musical legends, and so further fuelling inspiration to the students above.”
The Music Box is set to open in September.
