Emerging indie-rock outfit The Cavs have returned with their powerful new single ‘Man In The Suit’. Delivering earworm guitar riffs and dynamic percussion, the song also sees soaring melodic vocals as part of the defiant, energetic soundscape. The Cavs present a strong message with ‘Man In A Suit’, challenging the powers that be.
Discussing their new release, The Cavs revealed: “‘Man in The Suit’, put simply, is about if those who lived at the top lived life at the bottom, even just for a day, the world would be a better place. The song was written in 2019 and recording started in early 2020. Due to the pandemic, recording took the best part of a year to finish. Whilst this was the case we found that the meaning of this song grew far more prominent as the year unfolded. It means alot to us as a band and we hope the message resonates to musicians, artists, creatives and people alike.”
This Manchester-based five piece formed in late 2019 and made their debut at Verve Bar in Leeds, followed by a succession of hometown gigs at venues including Brickworks, Old Pint Pot and AATMA. The Cavs kicked off 2020 by playing their biggest show to date, a sellout headliner at Retro Bar. With a handful of stellar recordings under their belt, the band are determined to make 2021 their best year yet, and are certainly an act to watch out for.
