It’s not often you come across an artist who has so many different elements surrounding their music, but Australian based artist W7lf (pronounced Wolf) certainly has this in spades. The young troubadour has always been inspired by traditional hip-hop music alongside his Libyan roots, and this has resulted in an offering which is individual in it’s own right.
His latest release ‘Nana’s Song’ is bouncy and rhythmic from the off, and W7lf possesses a charm and wit in his lyricism that simply cannot be ignored. A familiar, sunshine-y tone is sprung from his music, and although the song is deeply rooted in heartbreak and losing ‘the one’, he has managed to find lightness in the sorrow and wrote a permanent hip-hop track that will sit in your mind for days on end.
