Watch Depeche Mode’s new militant “Where’s The Revolution” video

Depeche Mode have shared their new Anton Corbijn directed music video for ‘Where’s The Revolution’. Taken from their upcoming album Spirit, the ‘Where’s The Revolution’ video portrays the trio as renegades on podiums with huge fake beards.

The black and white video takes a militaristic approach including flag wavers and troops. The dystopian visuals mirror ‘Where’s The Revolution’ perfectly and Dave Gahan, the band’s frontman, has said that the album will boast a humanitarian theme.

I wouldn’t call this a political album,” Gahan stated, “because I don’t listen to music in a political way. But it’s definitely about humanity, and our place in that.

Spirit is due for release 17th March via Columbia Records. The album was produced by James Ford (Arctic Monkeys, Florence And The Machine) and is the group’s highly anticipated follow up to 2013’s Delta Machine. To promote their new album the band decided they would let fans take over their Facebook page by filling in an online form.
