Katie Crutchfield, better known as her current musical guise, Waxahatchee, is fresh off the release of her fourth studio album, Out In The Storm. To maintain the hype and continue riding the train of praise that the album has garnered in the last few weeks, one of the album highlights, ‘Recite Remorse’, now has a video attached to it.
The clip was masterminded by installation artist Ricardo Rivera, who took the opportunity of the video to create a new interpretive installation and put Crutchfield inside it. “I created an immersive space with layered translucent fabric and video projections and filmed Katie Crutchfield reacting to those elements. Optical layering of imagery onto the fabric and onto Katie created a video effect similar to many music videos of the ’90s, but done in practical way. Dreamy vibes for a dreamy song,” he says.

Waxahatchee will be on tour in support of Out In The Storm in Europe and the UK throughout September.
