Ed Sheeran announced as final headliner for Glastonbury Festival 2017

Ed Sheeran has announced that he will headline Glastonbury Festival 2017.

The singer-songwriter is the third and final Pyramid Stage headliner to be confirmed for the inaugural festival. Radiohead will close the Friday festivities, and Foo Fighters will head up Saturday’s bill.

Sheeran set will bring the festival to a close on Sunday night on the Pyramid Stage, which he has graced twice before. The Brit made his Glastonbury debut in 2011, playing on the BBC Introducing stage. He returned with a Pyramid Stage slot in 2014.

In an Instagram clip, Sheeran confirmed that he is “headlining Glastonbury on the Sunday night, which is awesome”.

Glastonbury 2017 will run from 21th-25th June at its traditional home of Worthy Farm, Somerset.

The full Glastonbury line-up will be announced at a later date.
