Ed Sheeran had performed on Saturday Night Live less than 24 hours before he turned up at The Grammys.
The singer-songwriter took to the stage in his usual jeans and black t-shirt to perform his number 1 single ‘Shape Of You’.
He played the song with just his guitar, a keyboard, two mics, and a loop pedal. He didn’t even have any in-ear monitors for the performance. The stripped back performance showed how much talent Sheeran has as he effortlessly played the chart-topping song. He’ll be playing at the Brit Awards on the 22nd February and will release his new album ÷ on 3rd March. He is also going on a UK and Ireland tour, which kicks off in April.
The 59th Grammy Awards were full of memorable moments such as host James Cordon falling down the stairs before rapping his opening speech, Beyoncé giving an incredible performance, and Adele breaking her award in half.
