Eminem announced as Reading & Leeds headliner for third time

This will be the third time Eminem has headlined the festival after playing in 2011 and 2013.

The rapper has been announced as the third headliner for the festival. Following the news, fans have been wondering if he will be releasing new music prior to the festival.

The festival, which will take place 25th – 27th August, have already announced Kasabian and Muse as headliners. Other acts announced include Haim, Migos, and Halsey.

Speaking about Eminem‘s return, Reading & Leeds boss Melvin Benn said “Eminem returning to Reading and Leeds is beyond exciting… His 2013 headline performance was incredible and I can’t want to have him back.”

Speaking about their headline spot, Kasabian guitarist Serge Pizzorno said: “It’s quite something – it’s defined us along the way, from back in ’04 when we played the tent.” He continued: “When we played in 2012 it was such a special honour because it was the first time we’d headlined a major festival. It was phenomenal. With these new tunes, it’s going to be f**king incredible.
