Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong has confirmed that the band is gearing up to put out new material, two years since their last release ‘Revolution Radio’.
Armstrong responded directly to a fan on Instagram, who asked when new music can be expected from the group.
The singer responded: “I’m writing new songs for gd now”.

Green Day recently made news when they broke the stratosphere – providing an unexpected element to NASA’s current mission to Mars.
The band announced: “Officially landed on Mars. ‘Green Day Since 1986’ was etched on a chip on the @NASAInSight Mars Lander that landed at Elysium Planitia today. Out of this world.”
