Linkin Park announce plans for “special public event” to honour Chester Bennington

Linkin Park have announced plans for a special public event in honour of Chester Bennington.

The band’s frontman, Chester Bennington, passed away last month and last night the band shared their second public statement since his death. Via Twitter, the band shared a heartfelt message thanking fans for their support and also announced arrangements for a “special public event” in Los Angeles were underway.

The statement read: “The five of us are so grateful for all of your support as we heal and build the future of Linkin Park” before assuring fans more details would be revealed soon. See the full statement below.

Last week, the late Linkin Park singer’s wife Talinda Bennington shared some of the music their son had recently finished. Talinda went on to say “our son is as talented as his father.” Listen to Jamie Bennington‘s music here.
