N.E.R.D have finally dropped their new comeback album, No One Ever Really Dies.

The new album is the three-piece group’s first offering since their 2010 record, Nothing. No One Ever Really Dies follows the release of a number of tracks and music videos including ‘Lemon‘ featuring Rihanna, ‘1000‘ with Future, ‘Rollinem 7’s‘ with Andre 3000 and ‘Don’t Don’t Do It!‘ with Kendrick Lamar and co-written by Frank Ocean. Speaking to Zane Lowe on his Beats 1 radio show, Pharrell discussed the meaning behind the track ‘Don’t Don’t Do It!’. The N.E.R.D frontman explained it was inspired by the death of African American man Keith Scott who was shot fatally by police last year.

They’re telling him to put his hands up or whatever and [Scott’s wife] knows, you can tell in her voice that she see what’s going to happen,” Pharrell said. “She’s saying ‘Don’t do it. Don’t do it Keith. Don’t don’t do it.’ And of course you know the way that turned out, he was killed.”
