MIA and SOHN are among a fresh wave of artists to be announced for this year’s Melt festival in Germany, which celebrates its 20th anniversary this year.
Also newly announced on the bill at the festival, which takes place on 14th-16th July at Ferropolis in Gräfenhainichen, are Hercules & Love Affair, Sampha, Bicep (playing a live set), jazz sax player Kamasi Washington, Maggie Rogers, Sylvan Esso, Tom Misch, The Lemon Twigs, Egyptian Lover and Richie Hawtin. In addition, Modeselektor will be performing a DJ set.
Artists announced previously include Kate Tempest, MØ, The Kills, Warpaint, Glass Animals, Bonobo, NAO, and Phoenix.
The festival is one of the largest in Germany and has previously played host to the likes of Oasis, Björk, Franz Ferdinand and Robyn. It is held at Ferropolis, the “City of Iron“, which is a huge open-air museum of old industrial machines between Wittenberg and Dessau.
