Mike Shinoda talks about the future of Linkin Park

Linkin Park‘s Mike Shinoda has opened up about the future of the band stating that they will not tour with a holographic version of the late singer, Chester Bennington.

Bennington died earlier this year by suicide and since then the future of the band has been under speculation. Although it has not been announced whether they will continue with a new vocalist, Shinoda has confirmed that they will not be using a holographic imaging of the late frontman on tours.

“I’ve actually heard other people outside the band suggest that and there’s absolutely no way,” Shinoda responded to a fan on an Instagram live feed. “I’ve actually heard other people outside the band suggest that and there’s absolutely no way… I can’t do a hologram Chester you guys, that would be the worst.

For any of you guys who have lost a loved one, best friend, family member, can you imagine having a hologram of them? Awful. I can’t do it. I don’t know what we’re going to do, but we’ll figure it out eventually.”

Last week (15th December) the band released a live album titled One More Light. The record was recorded during their final tour with their late frontman and dedicated to him in his honour.
