New Abba music delayed until the “second half of 2019”

It’s been 35 since years since Abba have released any new music.

Last year, fans rejoiced at the news that the group would be filling the superstar pop group void would be filled.

But now it looks like fans are going to have to wait a little longer, with the groups representative has said there will be “no release before the summer”.

The release is now looking more likely to be scheduled for the second half of 2019.

The Swedish pop quartet announced plans for new music in April of last year, making their first time in the studio together since their split in 1983.

The reunion came as they organized a tour of their music performed by virtual reality avatars: “It was like time had stood still and we had only been away on a short holiday, an extremely joyful experience!”

After recording two new songs, one of which was supposed to be debuted on a televised special in December 2018, the release was delayed until 2019, with Abba member Benny Andersson seeming to hint at legal issues holding up the release: “I think we are talking about the beginning of next year now. We are still trying to establish the agreement that needs to be done to be able to continue.”
