Meet the next big UK male solo artist, 19 year old Sam Callahan.
Sam is a singer/songwriter who lives in Essex with his family. He attended the Sylvia Young Theatre School in London and appeared in various TV programmes and West End Theatre shows as a child but rejected the ‘musical theatre’ path and started writing his own songs when he was just fourteen.
Sam was spotted by Geri Halliwell when he was 15 and signed a management deal with Geri and pop mogul Simon Fuller to become one of a five piece mixed teen band that Geri was developing. He spent more than two years in Geri’s band during which time he was lucky enough to work with some of the best music producers in the industry.
In the Summer of 2012, Sam made a brave decision to leave the band and go it alone to pursue his ambition to produce and perform his own music.
He has since been working with successful hit producer, John McLaughlin and following the success of Sam’s debut single ‘Runaway Train’ at the end of 2012, he is set to release more singles during 2013 starting with ‘Crazy’ which was released on July 8th.
The remainder of 2013 looks set to be very promising for Sam, who has just signed a joint management deal with John McLaughlin and Midas Talentpr.
