Katie Kittermaster is a singer / songwriter from Kent, England and is also a huge advocate of mental health care.
‘She Should Be Here’ has a truly melancholic feel to it, both in terms of lyrics but also Katie’s vocal performance.
Katie explains how “It was a song I’d been wanting to write for a while but hadn’t found the time whilst away on tour. The song follows the story of a group of girls on a night out – getting ready to go, at the bar, in the bathroom, at the kebab shop and waiting at the taxi rank for a ride home.
For me this song is super personal and it was definitely a cathartic experience – it perfectly captures how I’ve felt about a particular friend who I had fallen out with and missed very very much.”
She has just re-signed to Revanche Records for a two album deal working closely with BMG and her distributors FUGA.
