Released on the 9th of February, 2014 ‘Everybody Jump!’ is the latest collaboration between Italian D.J. Mirko B. and fellow compatriot tandem Albertdave & Tommyizer, featuring Khiara’s stunning vocal performance. Brescia-based Mirko Boroni, better known as Mirko B. is already a popular title in the dance world. Apart from being known as a first-rate producer on Beatport, Mirko B. has also managed to reach as high as #28 on Top Deejay’s ‘Best DJ/Producer Chart’. Teaming up with former Stem Brothers duo, Alberto Francesconi and Thomas Baldini, known by their new moniker Albertdave & Tommyizer since 2014, this eclectic Italian trio is sure to make waves within the electronic dance music scene. Joining their Electro and Progressive House influences, Mirko B. and the Forli-based duo brought all of their knowledge and experience to the table to create a truly unique project, giving it the perfect lift with the introduction of Khiara’s sublime voice.
The instrumental version of ‘Everybody Jump!’ has already enjoyed a great deal of success. Released on the 6th of November, 2014, the instrumental single hit Beatport’s ‘Hard Dance’ chart at #21, and has also featured on Hardwell’s Top 100 on Mixcloud for an incredible 3 weeks, apart from being labelled a ‘Dance Smash’ by Radio Diego in the Netherlands. The new vocal version, featuring the soulful vocals of Bahamas native, now Houston-based, Khiara, is surely on track to build upon these achievements.
Kicking off with a forceful boom effect, the track takes an immediate no-nonsense route. The sporadic vocal acrobatics of versatile, R&B, Jazz, Pop, Folk, Dance, and Soca inspired singer Khiara adds another level of spice to the production and starts the ascension to the energy filled chorus. Driven by an infectious, ripping lead synth melody and a chunky four on the floor drum groove, the chorus is a massive peak for the single. The energy burst leads to a funky vocal drop, also featuring outer-space effects and pitch shifting synth phrases. As the vocals get more complex, the main melody hardens and gives way to yet another smartly devised ascension guiding the track into another euphoric chorus. Softening the peak is a section featuring a stripped-down version of the single’s signature, catchy synth loop, filtered vocals, and phasing wind-like effects, offering a stylish end to the track.
