Hannah V – Version 2.0 – (Corrupted Mix)

After a whirlwind of an introduction since her lead track Version 2.0 made its mark in February, the incredible producer/songwriter Hannah V now drops a Corrupted mix of the banger.

Hannah explains the meaning behind it, “The main mix of ‘Version 2.0” touched on the subject of feeling the need to change yourself to succeed. I wanted this mix to take it a step further and truly touch on the ugliness and seediness of the industry. I called it the “Corrupted Mix”, as that is what this feels like to me – you are being corrupted, knowingly, but corrupted nevertheless. This is not meant to be a comfortable listen – I wanted to musically depict the feeling of losing yourself.“

The mix comes after Hannah recently premiered the trippy visuals over at Jay Z’s Life + Times, which has since received support from the likes of MTV, VIBE, The Source and many more.

Earmilk who premiered the new mix describe it as “dirtier, sexier; while the beginning is the exact same, the ending is utterly haunting and magnificent. It slows down and bringing beauty and mutilated vocals together to create a sound that sounds a bit like a screwed song, but in actuality, it’s a piece entirely of his own.”

We couldn’t have said it any better. Enjoy and preorder your copy of Hannah’s debut EP Version 2.0 from iTunes.
