Jackmaster has taken to Twitter to voice his opinions on the patriarchy of the dance music scene.
The global DJ and Numbers label owner has toured the world, playing in almost every continent on its surface with a number of other performers. He recently spoke out on Twitter slamming the male dominated DJ industry and the way certain member’s attitudes can be damaging to its female components.
His experience within the dance music sector has since broadened his horizons and prompted him to speak out about its patriarchal structure. The effect it has had on not only female producers and DJ’s but female fans is damaging to the scene.
Read Jackmaster’s well deserved Twitter rant below.
1) Tonight was the 1st time that the plight and/or prejudice surrounding females in the music industry truly hit home and resonated with me
— JACKMASTER (@jackmaster) February 5, 2017
2) It is way waaay too easy to be ignorant to the fact as a male DJ in a privileged position. There is something very wrong here.
— JACKMASTER (@jackmaster) February 5, 2017
3) To hear the things that I heard said about females in the industry tonight were fucking not acceptable.
— JACKMASTER (@jackmaster) February 5, 2017
4) I apologise for my prior ignorance and silence on the subject. That stops now.

Jackmaster took a slight breather and then jumped back into the debate.
My ignorant stance used to be that there was “loads of successful female DJs doing great”.. what a prick
— JACKMASTER (@jackmaster) February 5, 2017
It’s what’s said and enforced my powerful males behind the scenes that is the problem. End of rant. Bon nuit.

To echo what @blackmadonnachi said recently, apparently a female can’t make a track on her own. Some 1 MUST have made it on their behalf zzz

To conclude Jack’s Twitter rant he delivered this ultra combo finish.
Big men with little dicks jealous of ladies with talent, intelligence, integrity. Trying to shoot them down. Im off to bed haha
