Laidback Luke’s understudies Goran and Jakob, better known by their joint moniker The Trixx are about to release their new single ‘Too Close’ on the 11th of December, 2014. The fast-rising Croatian production duo have a series of impressive achievements under their belt already and are looking to build on their successes with the arrival of ‘Too Close’. They are one of the major Croatian electronic music exports of 2014, being the first act from their country to feature on the Buzz Chart, a feat they’ve reached no less than three times. They are also the first Croatians to have their track played on the main stage of major festivals such as: Ultra Europe, Creamfields, and Electric Zoo. Moreover, The Trixx’s music has been released through numerous labels, including: Blacksoul Music, Housesession Records, and Kingdom of Music. The talented duo has also landed significant support from top-notch DJ such as: Laidback Luke, HervePagez, Tristan Garner, D.O.N.S., Jerry Ropero, and Ollie Jones, together with being featured on DJ Time Croatia, the number one iTunes podcast in the nation.
Accompanying The Trixx’s latest production is Jonny Rose’s distinctive vocals. The Los Angeles based singer, songwriter, and producer is also a rising star in the electronic music scene. His list of collaborations includes A-list names such as: Laidback Luke, Andrew Rayel, Tritonal, Dimitri Vangelis & Wyman, and Omnia. Also, his tracks have been released through some of the world’s leading labels including: Ultra/Sony, Virgin/EMI, Universal, Warner, Mixmash, and Armada amongst others. Supported by some of the world’s most renowned DJs such as: Hardwell, Tiesto, David Guetta, Nicky Romero and Chuckie, Jonny Rose is no doubt the ideal addition to The Trixx’s exciting new venture.
‘Too Close’ is The Trixx’s latest festival frenzy weapon. The track kicks off with an acoustic piano chord progression and synth backing, creating just the right conditions for Jonny Rose’s voice to shine. The Trixx devise a quick ascension to a bass driven, hard grooved chorus, led by an uplifting and ecstatic synth melody. The production pumps hard in the low end and whilst the vocals are airy and clear – the synths are more solid and dominant. The range of electronic effects utilised, spice up the track without ever overfilling the smartly planned spaces that provide the open feel to the single. This highly-skilled duo has beyond a doubt created one of their best yet, justifying their place on the prestigious Ones To Watch Records’ roster.
