Father John Misty has released a politically charged piano ballad by the name of ‘Holy Hell’.
Lead by the lines “all my friends, yeah I’m talking to you, the world won’t end unless we want it to, there’s no one in control, and it’s our lives to choose”, this latest release is an address to the current political climate in the US.
The former Fleet Foxes drummer put out the following diatribe on Facebook before uploading the track to Soundcloud.
Misty recently spoke out against a contestant on The Voice US covering his track ‘Hollywood Forever Cemetery Sings‘. Maroon 5 star and The Voice coach, Adam Levine, told him, “I think your voice is so special that you have the responsibility to be a singer.” Father John Misty, real name Josh Tillman, was not impressed. He wrote on his Facebook, “why God why.”
