The Weeknd, real name Abel Tesfaye, has just put out his third studio album, ‘Starboy’. This latest release follows 2015’s ‘Beauty Behind The Madness’, 2013 debut ‘Kiss Land’ and the R&B star’s 2012 ‘Trilogy’ of mixtapes.
The 18-track album is over an hour and a half long and features two previously released collaborations with Daft Punk, plus appearances from Kendrick Lamar, Lana Del Rey and Future.
Discussing his Kendrick-collab with Zane Lowe he said: “It wasn’t just a random Kendrick Lamar verse, it was something special because again, I don’t like to say this all the time, but we’ve known each other for a while and it’s crazy how we started connecting on this record”.
It was revealed earlier this month that the album’s title is a tribute to the late David Bowie.
