July 7 has shared the first single, ‘Boy‘, from his forthcoming EP, Sweets.
‘Boy‘ sees July 7 asking “What’s it gonna be?” in his playful latin-inspired new cut. A rich blend of cultural influences, ‘Boy‘ displays an array of delicious sounds ranging from steel drums and electric pianos to Spanish guitars and swinging percussion. In addition to his culturally enriched sounds and effortlessly bluesy vocals, July 7 takes advantage of his deep roots in hip-hop production making ‘Boy‘ a weighty track with plenty of club bounce. Speaking about the new EP the Manchester-native says: “The EP is a collection of moments I’ve created and tied together over the past few months. It’s all ear candy music, sweet sounds and melodies“.
The Travis Scott and Young Thug producer is gearing up to release his debut EP, Sweets, which is set to arrive 17th November. ‘Boy’ is available to stream now via Spotify.
