Father John Misty has released a compelling video to accompany his new song ‘Two Wildly Different Perspectives’.
The songwriter has used this opportunity to condemn the actions of Donald Trump and his recent immigration ban which has seen citizens of seven predominately Muslim countries stopped from entering the US.
In the video description Father John Misty, real name Joshua Tillman, wrote “More kids are going to die now thanks to the unbelievably selfish immigration policy of places like Saudi Arabia and the USA”.
The video, which you can watch below, shows scenes of children playing with toy guns, violent video games which portray combat, and footage of warfare.
The ‘Two Wildly Different Perspectives’ video is his second single from his upcoming album Pure Comedy. He recently released the title track from the album along with a 1,850 word essay describing the album and a 30-minute film documenting the making of the album.
Pure Comedy will be Tilman’s third studio album following his 2015 release I Love You, Honeybear. It due for release April 7th through Sub Pop Records.
