With a huge amount of love coming in for her debut single ‘Bone Collector’ late last year, which ended up being supported on radio stations BBC Bristol and Amazing Radio USA, Bristol-based singer and songwriter Dora Lachaise has now returned to unveil her incredible new delight ‘I Confess’, which is available to stream and download now.

Matching the same broad and ethereal texture we heard on her previous release, ‘I Confess’ sees her take the raw and heartfelt aesthetic of ‘Bone Collector’ and give it a more powerful and driven sound throughout. With her brilliant vocal array stretching the length of her latest offering, it feels like she is on the cusp of developing a new and exciting sound all of her own.

Speaking about the feel of this new song, she said, “My productions had always been based around acoustic guitars and pianos, but electronic artists like Sevdaliza and FKA twigs lured me into a different, more experimental sonic world.”

While adding about the meaning of the track, “Mary Magdalene’s story was used to pressure girls and women into behaving in a certain way. I wanted to lend my voice to Mary to defend herself, because even today, women are judged by outdated ideas.”

‘I Confess’ by Dora Lachaise is out today and available to stream & download everywhere HERE. It is also available via Bandcamp HERE
