Space Jam was a staple in many 90s kids upbringing and now the soundtrack is getting pressed onto wax once again this coming Record Store Day on 22nd April.
The movie centered around the ‘Looney Tunes‘ cast alongside basketball star Michael Jordan and actors including Bill Murray. The soundtrack boasts tracks from a number of popular artists such as R Kelly, Seal, D’Angelo, Barry White and Busta Rhymes. Back when the Space Jam hit the screens in 1996, the soundtrack did get a limited vinyl release and since has become a rarity in the wax collecting scene.
Some copies have reported sold for hundreds of dollars on Discogs, so this reissue is sure to be well received when in lands on Record Store Day next month.
