Brothers Sunil Sindagi and Anil Sindagi AKA SUN & ABS are an EDM DJ and Production Duo from India, who have been honing their skills for almost a decade. Their unique style; born from a combination of musical passion, production expertise and the vibrant dance music scene in their home country, has catapulted them into EDM’s Premier League and won them global support from the likes of Hardwell, Quintino, Karim Mika & Moe Aly. Soon after the release of their own hit, ‘Pune 52’, which received massive praise from India’s number 1 spinner, DJ Nyk, and a host of others including Ed Mercy, Thermal Project and DJ Kamal, they soon thrashed a huge number of applicants to finish in the Top 10 of Hardwell’s ‘Mad World’ Remix Competition with their stunning interpretation their own hit.
With Sunil being a Sound Engineer and Anil coming more from a DJ background, the duo complement each other perfectly, be it in the studio or live on stage. Equally adept at producing party rocking hits as well as spinning them to packed-out venues the only way is up for SUN & ABS.
We caught up with them recently to find out a little more.
Hi guys, how are you and what’s going on in your world at the moment?
We are doing good, thank you. We’re currently working on our track called ‘TINKA’, which is soon to be released. We are also working on a lot of new music that we will released as free downloads soon. And we have just started with our DJ & Music Production Academy named ‘S & A DJ Academy’
Where are you currently based?
We are currently based in Pune, India.
How would you describe your sound?
Our sound is melodic and a fusion of Indian classical instruments with an electronic twist which you will hear in our new releases.
Who were your influences growing up?
We are influenced by the sounds of Hardwell, Swedish House Mafia, Tiesto, David Guetta, Afrojack, Blasterjaxx, Chuckie, Nicky Romero, W&W, Bassjackers and KSHMR to name a few.
How did you get involved in the Dance music business?
SUN got into DJing and music production at the early age because of his love for House and Bollywood music. He started out as a solo project, using electronic sounds and combining them with Bollywood melodies. Later ABS got into DJing/Music Production and then we teamed up to combine our creativity and night club experiences into EDM Productions. We connected really well when making music together and successfully found some common ground when merging our own sounds together. After a year of building sounds together, we are ready to elevate our sound on a global scale to show the world our creations.
Where would you like to see yourself in the months ahead?
In the upcoming months we would love to see ourselves playing alongside some bigger names in the dance music scene and to travel around the world making people happy with our music and to collaborate with a lot of artists. We’re sure that the coming months are going to be amazing!
Which is your ultimate career dream?
We wish to perform at some of the biggest music festivals across the world and to get ourselves in the DJ Mag TOP 100.
You guys were the masterminds behind ‘Pune 52′, which was released on HTM Records, as well as remixing records from Hardwell. What’s been your career highlight so far?
Our debut track ‘Pune 52’ was supported by lot of big names in the Dance Music scene and we were nominated in the Top 10 remixes of ‘Mad World’ by Hardwell.
Who’s inspiring you in 2016?
Hardwell, The Chainsmokers, Thomas Newson, Dannic and Olly James.
