Maryland’s B-Ezzy returns with a follow up single in the form of “Fresh” which premiered on Stereo Assault earlier today. Ezzy is currently preparing a full-length project, Layup Lines for which this is the second single. Here, we find the DMV native nestled into a more traditional hip-hop motif as he ruminates on all things fresh throughout. The Maryland/DC area has played host to some of the most exciting new hip-hop as of late and B-Ezzy is a continuance of the area’s penchant for hard backing beats that play host to more nuanced lyrical content. Ezzy sets the tone for what listeners can expect in the coming weeks as he hurtles toward the release date for his Layup Lines project.
Born in Silver Spring, Maryland, raised in St. Louis, Mo. B-Ezzy is one of the next rising stars from the Maryland area. Best known for his “Mo County Anthem” feat Maryland’s Own Phil Ade. In fact, it was that song put him on the map in the area. It was in heavy rotation on DC’s WPGC 95.5 as well as on Baltimore’s 92Q. It also led to him being featured on Peter Parker’s DMV Spotlight show on 95.5. B-Ezzy made big waves before the song was even released by using Metro Bus Advertising to raise the songs awareness. It was a big success and now he is ready for more. His new project titled “Layup Lines” (The Pre-Tape) is due out everywhere on April 16th. Stay tuned for more on one of Maryland’s new rising star.
